In SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and higher, there is a new type license key in addition to the old type. This new license key is based on a digital signature. Both types of license key are installed and administered with SLICENSE, as previously, and are available as temporary and permanent license. The usage of the key generator is optional. If you do not use the generator, the tModels, business entities and business services are created with random key names, for example, uddi:f353de80-f86b-11da-9d93-000a5e3cce 4 b.
