- The SmoothStep is a sim racing wheel designed to provide the feedback of an expensive direct drive wheel, without the price-tag of some of the other direct drive wheels on the market. - If you like a lot of force feedback, or if force feedback is very important to you, you might want to try either the Thrustmaster TX, Thrustmaster T500RS or better still, a Fanatec wheel and pedals setup. Oct 30, 2020 In the iRacing Software. Launch the SIM (in a Test session for example) Click Options and in the Drive tab. Set 'Enable Force Feedback' to on. Set Force Feedback Strength to 20% (you can adjust to your liking) Set Damping to 0%. Also please note the auto option for setting the force levels. Although not Logitech specific, it is the quickest way.
Installation procedure:
- Remove any previous driver versions.

- Once the download is complete, double-click the installation (.exe) file and follow the instructions provided.
- Once installation is complete, verify that your accessory is properly recognized in the Control Panel/Game Controllers (or Gaming Options) window with OK status.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
